Hotel Stay at SO Sofitel Hua Hin
After our stay at the Sindhorn Midtown in Bangkok, we made our merry way to Hua Hin for the second part of our trip! Click here to read more about our Bangkok & Hua Hin trip itinerary, or here to read more about our review of the Sindhorn Midtown.
Our transport from Bangkok to Hua Hin was kindly arranged by SO Sofitel Hua Hin. For a fuss-free experience when travelling to Hua Hin from Suvarnabhumi International Airport, be sure to make an inquiry with your hotel as most would be able to help you arrange for transport! Or you could compare transport prices with those offered on Klook as well.
The Room
We stayed at the SO Family Kid House for 3 nights during our trip. The key feature of the SO Family Kid House is the separate rooms for parents and kids… Daddies and Mummies if you’re looking for some privacy and would like to offer your kiddos some freedom of space, this is definitely an excellent choice!
The room designed for parents was spacious, clean and tastefully designed. There was a large king-sized bed and even a sitting area with a TV.
There is also a closet space with an ironing board provided for preparing all your ootds!
Feeling hungry? There is also an in-room minibar located in the pantry area, for snacks when your lil ones need one!
Connected to the parents’ room was an adjoining walkway leading to the kids’ room, which was outfitted with a fun bunk bed!
Along the walkway between both rooms, there was also a door leading out to an outdoor deck where you can just sit and relax. This is definitely a perfect space for enjoying the serenity of mornings, with a steaming hot cup of coffee brewed using the in-room coffee machine… What a pleasant way to start the day!
The bathroom was luxurious! It came complete with two wash basins, a toilet, a rainshower and a wonderful bathtub…

The Food
The food at SO Sofitel Hua Hin was amazing!
Starting off with breakfast at their in-house restaurant and dining area, White Oven, I was completely WOW-ed by the huge spread of food that they offered. To stimulate the palate, we began our morning feast with a cup of chilled fresh fruit juice and a variety of tropical fruit! Served in an international buffet style, they had an egg station, a salad bar and even a cooked food station serving various hot noodles soup. My top faves are definitely the special fried egg garnished with Chinese sausage, as well as the Ba Mee!
Kudos to the staff at SO Sofitel Hua Hin for being so welcoming to children… I lurved that they even set-up a mini amenities section for the lil ones to pick up their own kiddies cutlery!
After a day out in the sun, Beach Society, SO Sofitel Hua Hin’s very own beachside restaurant, provided a delicious respite. It was such an exotic and amazing experience dining in view of the beautifully clear blue waters.
They serve an impressive range of various alcohols and tropical cocktails, as well as, mocktails for the lil ones! We highly recommend the Surf and Turf set and the Sweet Potato Fries, which were just perfection… Click here to view their menu. They are open everyday from 11am to 11pm.
In the evening, you can return to the White Oven for dinner, where they serve absolutely delectable authentic Thai dishes. Chriselle’s fave was the fried prawn cakes and the Mango Sticky Rice was certainly one of the best hubbz and I ever had… Click here to view their menu.
Amenities and Activities
The SO Sofitel Hua Hin boasts a whole host of family fun activities to partake in and we were definitely not disappointed!
We spent the 5th and 6th day of our Bangkok & Hua Hin 2023 Adventure Trip trying out so many different activities organised by the SO Sofitel Hua Hin.
We began our day with an absolute adrenaline-rush inducing ride on the Sofa Boat! While I was clinging on for dear life, hubbz and our dear brave girl Chriselle were having the time of her life. Really enjoying living life on the edge…
Another activity that was exclusively for their hotel guests, is a scooter ride through a scenic secret garden. The sweet and fresh scent of the flowers followed us as we breezed along the path.
We had more water-splashing fun at SO Sofitel’s very own Wibit Adventure Float - an obstacle course created with inflatables in the pool. Almost had my own “Wipeout!” moment…
After all the fun activities we had in the past few days, it’s time for some TLC. We booked ourselves a spa at the SO Sofitel Hua Hin’s SO/ Spa at the front concierge. Needless to say, it was an incredibly soothing time with the perfect ambience to encourage maximum relaxation.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our adventure packed stay at the SO Sofitel Hua Hin! We highly recommend staying with them, especially if you are travelling with children. Would definitely stay again! ♡
